Strain development | Developed by Dr. Yoshibumi Matsushima, Research Institute for Clinical Oncology, Saitama Cancer Center. |
Strain description | BALB/c congenic strain having a sponatenous mutation found in a colony of the KOR inbred strain derived from Japanese wild mice. Homozygous mutant mice show high levels of serum IgE and an atopic dermatitis (AD)-like skin disease. The pehotype of this strain is less than on the KOR orinigal strain. Homozygous mutant mice are viable and fertile. |
