BRC No.RBRC00995
TypeTargeted MutationCartagena
SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameB6.129P2-Il5ra<tm1Ktk>/KtkRbrc
Former Common nameC57BL/6 IL-5R alpha -/-
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineE14.1 [129P2/OlaHsd]
Background strainC57BL/6NCrSlc
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Kiyoshi Takatsu, Institute of Medical Science in 1996. E14.1 ES cells were used. The mutant mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6CrSlc.
Strain descriptionL-5Ralpha gene knockout mice. A translational stop codon was introduced into exon 5 of the Il5ra and the exon 6 was replaced with a neo cassette.
Colony maintenanceHomozygote x Homozygote [or Crossing to C57BL/6NCrSlc]
