Strain developmentDeveloped by Dr. Kazuto Kobayashi, Fukushima Medical University School of Medicine in 1998. The transgene was injected into the pronuclei of B6D2F2 fertilized eggs. The transgenic mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6J.
Strain descriptionThe transgene contains mouse neuropsin gene promoter (BAC clone), human interleukin-2 receptor alpha-subunit/GFP. Subthalamic neurons are disrupted by a recombinant immunotoxin.
