Strain developmentDeveloped by Dr. Kenjiro Inagaki, Kobe University School of Medicine in 2000. The construct was electoroporated into E14.1 ES cells derived from 129P2/OlaHsd. The mutant mice were backcrossed C57BL/6N over 10 times.
Strain descriptionSHPS-1 knockout mice. Exon 7 and 8 were replaced with a nemoycin selection cassette. SHPS-1 (Ptpns1, protein tyrosine phosphatase, non-receptor type substrate 1) gene ia a member of sinal-regulatory proteins, plays a impotant roles in integrin-mediated cytoskeletal reoganization, cell motility and the regulation of Rho.
Colony maintenanceHeterozygote x Wild-type [C57BL/6NJcl]. Homozygous mutant mice are viable and fertile.
