Strain description | Cav3 (Caveolin 3) gene knockout mice. Cav3 is a muscle-specific form of the caveolin family proteins, which are small molecular weight proteins shown to be associated with the caveolar plasma membrane. Homozygous mutant mice show mid myopathic changes in muscle from 8 weeks ages. Viable and fertile. Line 177 (C57BL/6 background) (RBRC02374), Line 32 (mixed background) (RBRC02375), Line 142 (mixed background), Line 177 (mixed background) (RBRC02377). |
Colony maintenance | Homozygote x Heterozygote [or Crossing to C57BL/6JJcl] |
