BRC No.RBRC02699
TypeTargeted Mutation CongenicCartagena
SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameB6.Cg-Rapgef6<tm1.1Tkat>
Former Common nameRA-GEF-2<-/->
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineE14TG2a [129P2/OlaHsd]
Background strainC57BL/6JJcl
Appearanceblack [a/a B/B C/C]
Strain developmentDeveloped by Tohru Kataoka, Kobe University Graduate School of Medicine in 2007. E14TG2a ES cells were used to generate the mutant mice. The mice were crossed with Tg(ACTB-cre)13Miya mice. C57BL/6 semicongenic.
Strain descriptionRA-GEF-2 (Rapgef6) gene knockout mice. Exon 21 was removed. Homozygous knockout mice are viable and fertile, but exhibit an inlarged spleen, increased IgE and IgG levels and altered cytokine production.
Colony maintenanceHomozygote x Homozygote [or Crossing to C57BL/6JJcl]
