Strain descriptionDrebrin is an F-actin-binding protein that is highly expressed in the brain and regulates the dynamics of actin cytoskeletal networks. These mice specifically overexpress a fusion protein of rat drebrin A and GFP in the forebrain. A western blot analysis of cerebral cortex extract revealed a 10 to 15% increase in drebrin (similar expression patterns were observed in three lines: RBRC02838, RBRC02839, RBRC0284015). These mice are useful for analyzing the effect of the overexpression of drebrin at the cellular and body levels.
