Background strainC57BL/6NCrlCrlj
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Laboratory Animal Resource Center, Tsukuba University and RIKEN BioResource Center in 2009. C57BL/6N background.
Strain descriptionCre-driver transgenic mice. A transgenic construct containing sequence encoding Cre recombinase under the control of the mouse nestin promoter fragment derived from the BAC library (BAC clone RP24-64E17)was microinjected into C57BL/6NCrlCrlj fertilized eggs. Tissue-specific expression of Cre recombinase has not been examined yet. Users are encouraged to test the tissue-specificity and feed back the data for the research community.
Colony maintenanceCarrier x Noncarrier [C57BL/6NCrlCrlj]. Hemizygous Tg mice are viable and fertile (viability and fertility of homozygotes are unknown).
