Background strain | |
Appearance | |
Strain development | Developed by Toshiaki Watabe and Yasuhiro Yamamoto, National Institute of Genetics in 2009. R1 ES cells were used. |
Strain description | Chromosome 5 piRNA cluster knockout mice. The promoter region of RNA precursor was replaced with a neo cassette. piRNA from Chr5 piRNA cluster was not generated. So far homozygous mutant mice show no obvious abnormality. |
