Appearance | |
Strain development | Developed by Dr. Hiroshi Hamada, Graduate School of Frontier Biosciences, Osaka University in 2000. Transgene was injected to into the pronuclei of (C57BL/6 x C3H) F1 fertilized eggs. The mice were crossed to B6/129 background strain. |
Strain description | These transgenic mice express Pkd2/lacZ gene on both sides of the node under the control of the node specific enhancer. |
Colony maintenance | |
References | Cilia at the node of mouse embryos sense fluid flow for left-right determination via Pkd2.
