Appearance | |
Strain development | Developed by Yoh Wada, Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research, Osaka University in 2008. |
Strain description | The gene is truncated after exon 13. It contains a single FRT site and a single loxP site in the remaining exon 13-proximal segment of intron 13. Immunoblot analysis fails to detect the a3 subunit of vacuolar-type ATPase (V-ATPase), which is encoded by the endogenous gene, in liver lysates of homozygous mutant mice. Homozygous mutant mice die within 3-4 weeks after birth. |
