BRC No.RBRC04421
TypeTargeted MutationCartagena
SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameB6;129(FVB)-Tcirg1<tm1.2Ywd>
Former Common namea3 mutant, Tcirg1<delta>
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineR1 [(129X1/SvJ x 129S1/Sv)F1-Kitl<+>]
Background strain
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Yoh Wada, Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research, Osaka University in 2008.
Strain descriptionThe gene is truncated after exon 13. It contains a single FRT site and a single loxP site in the remaining exon 13-proximal segment of intron 13. Immunoblot analysis fails to detect the a3 subunit of vacuolar-type ATPase (V-ATPase), which is encoded by the endogenous gene, in liver lysates of homozygous mutant mice. Homozygous mutant mice die within 3-4 weeks after birth.
