Strain developmentA 2.5 kb genomic fragement was replaced with a neomycin selection cassette. The mutant mice were crossed with C57BL/6.
Strain descriptionTraf6 knockout mice. A 2.5 kb genomic fragment was replaced with a neomycin selection cassette. Homozygous mutant mice exhibit severe osteopetrosis and abnormal immune cell development and function, and die within around 2 weeks after birth. Homozygous mice represented only 12% of offspring. C57BL/6 background (RBRC04950), BALB/c background (RBRC05386).
Colony maintenanceHeterozygote x Wild-type [C57BL/6JJcl]
