Strain developmentMaintained by Dorothea Bennett, Sloan Kettering Cancer Institute. The mice were introduced into the Institute for Virus Research Kyoto University by Yoichiro Iwakura in 1980, and then maintained at The Institute of Medical Science, The University of Tokyo since 1986.
Strain descriptionBig T is the dominant lethal named Brachyury and T/wild type (+) will give a short tailed mouse and T/t will give a zero-tailed mouse. T/T mice are dead as are t/t of the same genotype.
