SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameBXSB.B6-Fcer1g<tm1Tks>/Hros
Former Common nameBXSB-Fcer1g KO BXSB. gamma-/-
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineBL/6-III [C57BL/6J]
Background strain
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Sachiko Hirose, Department of Internal Medicine, Juntendo University School of Medicine in 2006. A neomycin selection cassette was transferred into BL/6-III ES cells to delete and replace exon 2 of Fcer1g gene. The mutant mice were backcrossed BXSB strain over 20 generations.
Strain descriptionIgG Fc receptor common gamma knockout mice. BXSB background. Exon 2 of Fcer1g gene was deleted and replaced with a neomycin selection cassette. Autoimmune disease features of male were suppressed in homozygous mutant mice.
Colony maintenanceHomozygote x Homozygote [or Crossing to BXSB/MpJJmsSlc (female)]
