Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Sachiko Seo, Faculty of Medicine, University of Tokyo in 2001. The targeting vector was transferred into TT2 ES cells derived from (C57BL/6 x CBA) F1. The mutant mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6.
Strain descriptionCas-L (Nedd9, neural precursor cell expressed, developmentally down-regulated gene 9) gene knockout mice. A 1.2 kb region including exon 2 was replaced with EGFP and a floxed neomycin resistant cassette. Homozygous mutant mice show reduced numbers of lymphocytes in secondary lymphoid organs and an almost complete loss of marginal zone B (MZB) cells in the spleen.
