ES Cell line | RF8 [129S4/SvJae] |
Background strain | |
Appearance | |
Strain development | Developed by Takao Iwawaki, Advanced Science Institute, RIKEN in 2005. RF8 (129S4 derived) ES cells were used. The mutant mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6J for at least 5 times. |
Strain description | Xbp1 gene knockout mice. Exons 2-4 were replaced with a floxed neo cassette. Homozygous mutant mice begin to die around E12.5. |
Colony maintenance | Heterozygote x Wild-type [C57BL/6JJcl] |
