ES Cell lineR1 [(129X1/SvJ x 129S1/Sv)F1-Kitl<+>]
Background strain
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Atsushi Iwama, Graduate School of Medicine, Chiba University in 2005. The mutant mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6N.
Strain descriptionZfp277 gene knockout mice. Exon 5 of Zfp277 gene was replaced with a floxed neo cassette. Homozygous mutant mice were born according to Menderian’s law, but the growth retardation and death of homozygous mice were sporadically observed.
Colony maintenanceHeterozygote x Wild-type [C57BL/6NCrSlc]
