Background strain
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Yoh Wada, Institute of Scientific and Industrial Research, Osaka University. An Rab7 targeted allele, containing a loxP site in upstream of exon 2 and a RT-loxP-Neo-FRT-loxP cassette in downstream of exon 13, was introduced into the mouse genome by R1 ES cell mediated gene replacement. The modified allele was converted to Rab7-floxed (Rab7<tm1Ywd>) by crossing with FLP mice (B6;SJL-Tg(ACTFLPe)9205Dym/J). The mutant mice were cross to C57BL/6.
Strain descriptionRab7 gene floxed mice. Exons 2 and 3 of the Rab7 gene were flonked by loxP sites.
Colony maintenanceHomozygote x Homozygote [or Crossing to C57BL/6JJmsSlc]
