BRC No.RBRC05691
TypeTargeted MutationCartagena
SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameB6;129-Fgf18<tm1Tri>
Former Common nameFgf18 floxed, B6-Fgf18 floxed
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineC6 [129/SvEvTac]
Background strain
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Toru Imamura, National Institute of Advanced Industrial Science and Technology in 2009. A FRT-flanked PGK-neo cassette with a 5’loxP site was inserted upstream of exon 3 and a loxP site was inserted downstream of exon 3. A PGK-neo cassette was removed by crossing with FLPe mice (B6-Tg(CAG-FLPe)36 RBRC01834).
Strain descriptionFgf18 gene floxed mice. Exon 3 of Fgf18 gene was flanked by loxP sites. Conditional Fgf18 deficient mice can be generated by crossing with tissue-specific Cre mice. Homozygous mice are viable and fertile. Sometimes curly hairs.
Colony maintenanceHomozygote x Homozygote [or Crossing to C57BL/6]
