Background strain
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Dr. Haruhiko Koseki, RIKEN Center for Allergy and Immunology. M1 ES cells derived from (C57BL/6 x 129)F1-Kitl<+> were used for the generation of knockout mice. Exon 4 and neo cassette were removed by crossing with CAG-Cre mice (C57BL/6 background). The mutant mice were crossed to C57BL/6J.
Strain descriptionSecB16 (Sec16b) gene knockout mice. Exon 4 was removed. Homozygous mice show no obvious abnormality.
Colony maintenanceHeterozygote x Wild-type [C57BL/6JJcl]
