Strain development | Developed by Dr. Hirokazu Hirai, Gunma University Graduate School of Medicine in 2008. Lentiviral vectors were used to introduce a MSCV-EGFP cassette into the genomes of C57BL/6J mouse embryos. |
Strain description | MSCV-GFP transgenic mice EXPRESSING a EGFP under the control of the Murine stem cell virus (MSCV) promoter. In the brain, Tg expression is detected in the Purkinje cells and in the brainstem, especially in the pontine nuclei. Tg expression is also detected in several tissues, especially in the thymus, leucocytes, muscle and skin. |
