Species | Mus musculus |
Strain name | C.Cg-Tg(CAG-Cre)CZ-M02Osb |
Former Common name | CAG-Cre, BALB-CAGCre Tg#2 |
H-2 Haplotype | |
ES Cell line | |
Background strain | BALB/cAJcl |
Appearance | |
Strain development | Developed by Shuhei Sakakibara and Teruhito Yasui, Research Institute for Microbial Diseases, Osaka University. Generated by backcrossing to BALB/cAJcl from B6.Cg-Tg(CAG-Cre)CZ-M02Osb (RBRC01828) over 11 times. |
Strain description | These transgenic mice express Cre recombinase gene under the control of CAG promoter. This strain can be used to make an inducible knock-out by crossing with the other genetically-engineered mice that have a loxP site-flanked sequence of interest. The recombination occurs in all over the body. BALB/c background. |
