Background strain
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Daisuke Watanabe, School of Science, Kitasato University. The InvGFP transgene was injected into the pronuclei of FVB-Invs<inv> fertilized eggs. Tg mice of FVB background (RBRC06171) were crossed to ICR for 5 times (RBRC06172).
Strain descriptionInv rescued mice having a inv mutation and Inv::GFP fusion rescue gene. FVB background (RBRC06171), ICR background (RBRC06172). In the ICR background, unique phenotypes such as corneal thickening and spine curvature were observed.
Colony maintenanceInv: Heterozygote x Wild-type; Tg: Carrier x Carrier [or Crossing to FVB/NJcl]
