Former Common nameXCR1-venus, XCR1-venus B6
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineBruce 4 [B6.Cg-Thy1<a>]
Background strainC57BL/6JJcl
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Tsuneyasu Kaisho, Research Center for Allergy and Immunologuy, RIKEN around 2008.
Strain descriptionA chemokine receptor, XCR1, is a receptor for XCL1 and expressed dominantly in one dendritic cell subset. XCR1-venus mice were generated by knocking the gene encoding a fluorescence protein, venus (derived from Dr. Atsushi Miyawaki at BRI) into the murine XCR1 gene locus. In XCR1-venus mice, XCR1-expressing cells can be detected by venus expression.
