BRC No.RBRC09688
TypeTargeted MutationCartagena
SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameC.Cg-Siglech<tm1.1Ksat>
Former Common nameSiglechdtr/dtr mice
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineBruce 4 [B6.Cg-Thy1<a>]
Background strainBALB/cAJcl
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Katsuaki Sato, RIKEN Research Center for Allergy and Immunology in 2016. Bruce 4 ES cells derived from B6.Cg-Thy1<a> were used. Mice were backcrossed to BALB/c for 12 generations.
Strain descriptionIRES-DTR-EGFP cassette were inserted into 3' untranslated region of Siglech, Siglech sialic acid binding Ig-like lectin H gene, highly expressed in plasmacytoid dendritic cells (pDCs). Homozygous mutant mice are defective in the transcriptional and cell surface expression of Siglech. Mice treated with diphtheria toxin (DT) cause specific ablation of pDCs.
Colony maintenanceHomozygote x Homozygote [or Crossing to BALB/cAJcl]
