Strain developmentDeveloped by Nobuya Sasaki, Hokkaido University in 2012. 129<+Ter>/Sv x ICGN F1 was backcrossed to 129T over 10 generations and then homozygous Tns2<nph> mutations was maintained by sister-brother mating. Y chromosome is derived from 129T.
Strain description129T congenic line harboring Tensin2 mutation (Tns2<nph>) derived from the ICGN strain. This line is useful to study nephrosis.
