BRC No.RBRC10063
TypeTargeted MutationCartagena
SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameC57BL/6J-Foxp3<tm1(CD2/CD52)Shori>
Former Common nameB6.Foxp3hCD2
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell line
Background strainC57BL/6JJcl
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Shohei Hori, RIKEN Center for Integrative Medical Sciences. C57BL/6J-derived ES cells were used. The neo gene was removed by crossing to CAG-Cre mice. C57BL/6J genetic background.
Strain descriptionFoxp3 (forkhead box P3) reporter mice. A DNA fragment containing IRES and cDNA for human CD2-human CD52 fusion protein was knocked in at 3’ UTR (between stop codon and endogenous polyA) of the Foxp3 gene.
Colony maintenance
References
Plasticity of Foxp3(+) T cells reflects promiscuous Foxp3 expression in conventional T cells but not reprogramming of regulatory T cells.
