Strain developmentDeveloped by Makoto Tachibana and his colleagues, Institute of Advanced Medical Sciences, Tokushima University in 2015. TT2 ES cells [(C57BL/6NCrlj x CBA/JNCrlj)F1] were used and mice were backcrossed three times to C57BL/6. Mixed genetic background.
Strain descriptionKnockin mice of a DNA fragment, CAG-loxP-stop-loxP-hCD271, into the Rosa26 locus. Expression of human CD271 lacking cytoplasmic domain is induced by Cre-mediated recombination. hCD271 can be used as a tag for purification of its expressing cells.
