Former Common name | IRF3 KO |
H-2 Haplotype | |
ES Cell line | TT2 [(C57BL/6NCrlj x CBA/JNCrlj)F1] |
Background strain | C57BL/6JJcl |
Appearance | |
Strain development | Developed by Tadatsugu Taniguchi and Hideyuki Yanai, University of Tokyo in 2017. TT2 ES cells derived from C57BL/6 x CBA F1 were used. The neo gene was deleted by crossing the CAG-cre mice. Mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6J for 10 generations. C57BL/6J congenic strain. |
Strain description | IRF-3(Irf3:interferon regulatory factor)knockout mice. Homozygous mice are viable, susceptible to viral infection and exhibit lower serum interferon levels in response to viral infection. This strain has normal expression of Bcl2L12, an adjacent gene of the Irf-3. |
