BRC No.RBRC10148
TypeTargeted MutationCartagena
SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameB6.129-Nfe2l1<tm1.2Mym>
Former Common nameNrf1-floxed mouse
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineE14 [129P2/OlaHsd]
Background strain
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Masayuki Yamamoto, Tohoku University School of Medicine in 2007. E14 ES cell line derived from 129P2/OlaHsd was used. Mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6J for 10 generations. Y chromosome is derived from C57BL/6J.
Strain descriptionFloxed Nrf1 (Nfe2l1, nuclear factor, erythroid derived 2,-like 1) mouse. Exon 4 was flaked by two loxP sites. A Neo gene cassette was removed by crossing with a Ayu-Cre line. Konckout mice at whole body are embryonically lethal.
Colony maintenance
References
Nrf1 and Nrf2 play distinct roles in activation of antioxidant response element-dependent genes.
