Strain developmentDeveloped by Shintaroh Ueda and Meguru Ito, The University of Tokyo in 2007. Targeting vector was introduced into the E14-1 ES cells. Cre expression plasmid was further introduced into positive clones to remove the neo cassette. Mice were backcrossed to the C57BL/6J for more than 7 generations. C57BL/6J congenic line.
Strain descriptionPou3f2 mutant mice in which the Pou3f2 gene was replaced with Pou3f2 derived from Xenopus tropicalis. Poor maternal behavior with decreased expression of dopamine and serotonin synthesizing enzymes.
