Strain development | Developed by Shintaroh Ueda and Meguru Ito, The University of Tokyo in 2007. Targeting vector was introduced into the E14-1 ES cells. Cre expression plasmid was further introduced into positive clones to remove the neo cassette. Mice were backcrossed to the C57BL/6J for more than 7 generations. C57BL/6J congenic line. |
Strain description | Pou3f2 mutant mice in which the Pou3f2 gene was replaced with Pou3f2 derived from Xenopus tropicalis. Poor maternal behavior with decreased expression of dopamine and serotonin synthesizing enzymes. |
