Appearance | |
Strain development | Developed by Ikuo Ogiwara and Kazuhiro Yamakawa, RIKEN BSI in 2008. In the BAC clone (RP23-232A20), GFP was placed at the translation initiation codon at the Exon 1 of the Scn1a gene. Then the BAC DNA construct was injected to the fertilized eggs of C57BL/6J. C57BL/6 genetic background. |
Strain description | Transgenic mice expressing GFP underthe control of the Scn1a (sodium channel, voltage-gated, type I, alpha) gene promoter. Both males and females are fertile. |
