TypeTargeted MutationCartagena
SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameB6.129-Ppm1b<tm1.2Tamu>
Former Common namePpm1b2lox/wt mouse, PP2Cβ2lox/wt mouse
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell line
Background strain
Appearance
Strain developmentDeposited by Motoko Ohnishi, Chubu University. Developed by Shinri Tamura, Tohoku University, in collaboration with Jun-ichi Miyazaki, Osaka University. ES cells derived from 129SV were used and then the mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6N over 37 generations. Neo gene fragment was deleted at ES cells.
Strain descriptionPpm1b (protein phosphatase 1B, magnesium dependent, beta isoform) mutant mice. A pair of loxP flanks Exon 4. Homozygous mutants are lethal at around embryonic day 3.5. No expression of Ppm1b was detected from this allele.
Colony maintenance
References
Disruption of the mouse protein Ser/Thr phosphatase 2Cbeta gene leads to early pre-implantation lethality.
