Strain developmentDeposited by Motoko Ohnishi, Chubu University. Developed by Shinri Tamura, Tohoku University, in collaboration with RIKEN CDB in 2006-2007 (CDB0428K). This strain was backcrossed to C57BL/6N over 28 generations.
Strain descriptionPpm1l [protein phosphatase 1 (formerly 2C)-like] knockout mice. The b-galactosidase(LacZ) and neomycin gene cassette were inserted into the 50 UTR sequence of exon 1. Homozygous mutants were born less than the mendelian ratio and died by 4 weeks old. ES clone #79 was used to generate this line.
