ES Cell line | J1 [129S4/SvJae] |
Background strain | C57BL/6JJcl |
Appearance | |
Strain development | Developed by Katsuhiko Mikoshiba, RIKEN Brain Science Institute in 1996. J1 ES cells derived from 129S4/SvJae were used. Mixed genetic background by crossing with C57BL/6 for 2 generations. |
Strain description | Itpr1 (inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor 1) KO mouse. A Neo gene fragment was inserted to the exon containing translation initiation codon. Homozygous mutant exhibit severe ataxia, seizures, and lethality by weaning age. Mixed genetic background. |
