BRC No.RBRC10288
TypeTargeted MutationCartagena
SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameB6;129S4-Itpr1<tm1Tno>
Former Common nameIP3R1 knockout mice
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineJ1 [129S4/SvJae]
Background strainC57BL/6JJcl
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Katsuhiko Mikoshiba, RIKEN Brain Science Institute in 1996. J1 ES cells derived from 129S4/SvJae were used. Mixed genetic background by crossing with C57BL/6 for 2 generations.
Strain descriptionItpr1 (inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor 1) KO mouse. A Neo gene fragment was inserted to the exon containing translation initiation codon. Homozygous mutant exhibit severe ataxia, seizures, and lethality by weaning age. Mixed genetic background.
