BRC No.RBRC10289
TypeTargeted MutationCartagena
SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameB6.129S4-Itpr2<tm1Kmik>
Former Common nameIP3R2 knockout mice
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineJ1 [129S4/SvJae]
Background strainC57BL/6JJcl
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Katsuhiko Mikoshiba, RIKEN Brain Science Institute in 2005. J1 ES cells derived from 129S4/SvJae were used. C57BL/6J congenic line by crossing with C57BL/6 for 10 generations.
Strain descriptionItpr2 (inositol 1,4,5-trisphosphate receptor 2) KO mouse. A nls-LacZ gene fragment was inserted downstream of the translation initiation codon. Homozygous mutant exhibit decreased sweating and disturbed calcium signaling in sweat glands.
