Strain development | Developed by Katsuhiko Mikoshiba, RIKEN Brain Science Institute in 2009. TT2 ES cells were used and this line was backcrossed to C57BL/6 for 15 generations. C57BL/6 congenic line. |
Strain description | Ahcyl1 (S-adenosylhomocysteine hydrolase-like 1) floxed mice. FRT-flanked Neo gene is placed at intron 1 of the Ahcyl1 gene. A pair of loxP sites flank the FRT-flanked Neo and exon 2 of the Ahcyl1 gene. The neo and exon 2 were removed by crossing with a Cre line. TT2 ES cells were used and then this line was backcrossed to C57BL/6 for 15 generations. C57BL/6 congenic line. Homozygous mutants tend to be small in their body size. Two sublines are available as RBRC10294 and RBRC10295. This is subline #1. |
