ES Cell line | TT2 [(C57BL/6NCrlj x CBA/JNCrlj)F1] |
Background strain | |
Appearance | |
Strain development | Developed by Tohru Yamamoto, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, Hokkaido University. TT2 (B6CBF1 derived) ES cells were used to generate Mdga1 knockout mice. The mutant mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6N. C57BL/N congenic strain. |
Strain description | Mdga1 gene knockout mice. Exon 1 of the Mdga1 gene was replaced with a lacZ and frt flanked neo cassette (neo cassette was removed by FLPe-mediated recombination). Homozygous mutant mice exhibit defective migration and positioning of neurons during corticogenesis. |
