BRC No.RBRC10978
TypeTargeted Mutation CongenicCartagena
SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameB6NJcl.Cg-Mdga1<tm1.1Tymo>
Former Common nameMdga1 KO
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineTT2 [(C57BL/6NCrlj x CBA/JNCrlj)F1]
Background strain
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Tohru Yamamoto, Faculty of Pharmaceutical Science, Hokkaido University. TT2 (B6CBF1 derived) ES cells were used to generate Mdga1 knockout mice. The mutant mice were backcrossed to C57BL/6N. C57BL/N congenic strain.
Strain descriptionMdga1 gene knockout mice. Exon 1 of the Mdga1 gene was replaced with a lacZ and frt flanked neo cassette (neo cassette was removed by FLPe-mediated recombination). Homozygous mutant mice exhibit defective migration and positioning of neurons during corticogenesis.
