BRC No.RBRC10983
TypeTargeted Mutation CongenicCartagena
SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameB6.Cg-Hcn4<tm1(tTA)Nnka> Hcn4<tm1.1(Luc/EGFP)Nna>
Former Common nameHCN4 tet/luc mice
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineTT2 [(C57BL/6NCrlj x CBA/JNCrlj)F1]
Background strain
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Noriyuki Nakashima and Makoto Takano, Kurume University in 2017.
Strain descriptionThis strain has two different alleles at the Hcn4 gene locus. One is a reporter allele in which luciferase/EGFP fusion gene was inserted in frame of translation initiation codon of the Hcn4 gene. Hcn4 gene is disrupted. The other is an allele in which tTA/Tre cassette was inserted at the translation initiation site of the Hcn4 gene.
Colony maintenance
References
HCN4 pacemaker channels attenuate the parasympathetic response and stabilize the spontaneous firing of the sinoatrial node.
