BRC No.RBRC11397
TypeTargeted MutationCartagena
SpeciesMus musculus
Strain nameC.129P2(B6)-Il5ra<tm1Ktk>
Former Common nameBALB/c IL-5R alpha -/-
H-2 Haplotype
ES Cell lineE14.1 [129P2/OlaHsd]
Background strain
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Kiyoshi Takatsu, Institute of Medical Science in 1996. E14.1 ES cells were used. The mutant mice were backcrossed to BALB/c.
Strain descriptionIL-5Ralpha gene knockout mice. A translational stop codon was introduced into exon 5 of the Il5ra and the exon 6 was replaced with a neo cassette.
