Background strain
Appearance
Strain developmentDeveloped by Tadafumi Kato, RIKEN CBS in 2021. This strain was generated using CMTI-2 ES cells derived from C57BL/6J. C57BL/6 genetic background.
Strain descriptionA damaging missense mutation E492K (rs144901788) reported in humans was introduced in the mouse Ntrk1 (TrkA) genomic region. A PGK-neo cassette was not removed in this strain. To express the mutated E492K, this strain should be crossed to Flp and Cre strains.

References
Ntrk1 mutation co-segregating with bipolar disorder and inherited kidney disease in a multiplex family causes defects in neuronal growth and depression-like behavior in mice.
